Anvils

O'Dwyer anvils are poured from an SG Iron which is not as hard as steel anvils. The approximate hardness of O'Dwyer anvils is 260 Brinell or 24 Rockwell. The farriers seem to appreciate that our anvils are not as hard as steel anvils as they tend not to make as much of a ringing sound (however, we do suggest that farriers still wear hearing protection while using these anvils).
On request we can supply harder anvils.
