The
DM front is symmetrical in shape and lies between the LB and SM with a flush
formed toe clip. The DM hind is manufactured with inner and outer branches
- the longer outer branch is clearly marked for easy selection. The nail
holes on the outer branch are slightly coarser positioned than on the inner
branch. The DM can be ordered with either a single toe clip or quarter/side
clips; the hind with quarter clips or with a toe clip. The fronts with a
toe clip or side clips. In either case they are drawn flush to the profile
of the shoe.
For better protection the DM increases in width towards the toe.
The Mustad DM is also available in 22 x 8mm with a concave section. Concave
section shoes can improve grip under certain circumstances. They are also
lighter in weight than flat section shoes and are less prone to the accumulation
of dirt and gravel under the hoof.
